Meh. a) Have you ever considered the possibility that those attitudes you call "socialized" may be genetic? b) Have you ever considered the possibility that they may be desirable? That we may need strong, confident, stoic leaders to navigate a dangerous world?
The behaviors don't need to be socialized or undesirable for us to acknowledge that there are social norms.

Unfortunately, the article draws heavily on grievance studies, and repeats the same takes the APA has on “masculinity ideology.” While I think the major takeaways are important I believe we can get there without buying into any bullshit along the way.
