Exactly. She never quantifies what power is or how to measure it.
-
I would put the onus on
@SamHarrisOrg having almost completely failed at ensuring that@rtraister adequately defined such terms for the audience. I think her heart is in the right place & the work is important, but looking through the world with a singular lens leads to disaster. - 1 more reply

I also got the overwhelming sense that she is waging war on inequality. This is a war that will never end. We need another approach to the issue other than anger and division.

"But CK is doing comedy again, so clearly there isn't a problem......" That part of the conversation had me boil up quite a bit. Most people aren't multimillionaires who can weather significant blows to their career/social status. Most people can't weather a bad car accident.

I thought the point about Matt Damon being "fine" trivialised the overreaction to his comments. Damon's comments weren't directed at the accusers but at the MeToo movement in general, which didn't respond with "That's so obvious is patronising".
-
Also there had been a sustained campaign of shaming men in Hollywood for not talking up on the subject. I'm sure plenty of men who could have been a positive voice for the movement decided to stay quiet and not risk an career ending utterance of common sense.

Her hottest take was that Cosby was basically the fault of white men.
-
She didn't say that. Or I might have passed out briefly, which would be bad because I was driving. What she did say was that, true, it's about power rather than gender or race, but that power is so overwhelmingly held by white men that it's true within a margin of error.
