We know cigarettes are addictive and bad for you/society, so we put warning labels, tax it extra, and make it illegal for minors. Imagine if we did the same to social media.pic.twitter.com/RE2DUYzYvb

Someone who is irresponsible w social media use probably isn't going to be helped by being told they are abusing such services. The reason they do this isn't because of an addiction to social media but instead a lacking overall foundation based on understanding and responsibility
I have some user styles (via Stylus for @firefox) which space out tweets and facebook posts by more than a full page, so I have to spend more time scrolling to see each post/tweet, but at the end of the day, it just feels like nothing more than a 'cigarette filter'

Checked my Twitter (my only social media account) for the first time in awhile, saw this in my feed. Not a bad feeling
Great point. Social media is a far superior/ dangerous drug. it adapts/evolve everyday. The issues and symptoms we see today is already in the past. We talk now about what social media is doing to people during last years, while today it is creating tomorrow’s caos.

One can speak & write (in the free world) strong opinions/beliefs in #freespeech but that doesn't change a responsibility to wield words wisely. The "tongue is a fire" says the Bible. Poet Seamus Heaney said his pen was "snug as a gun." Let Truth be told, and let all listen.
I needed this tweet today. I am going to log out and go work on one of my creative projects.
Good lord James, you can’t possibly be advocating for taking personal responsibility??!?! What kind of monster are you?
