How does the itinerant Anglo-Saxon carry small amounts of materials - beeswax, salt, pigments, that kind of thing? Bags, pots, wrapped up?

@PrimitiveMethod yes, Tattershall Thorpe is the one I was thinking of. The Flixborough tool hoard was found in lead tanks!
