The Columbia River Crossing project failed several years ago because of a stubborn, top-down attitude from elected officials and bureaucrats. Again, we’re seeing elected officials in Portland taking a "my way or the highway" approach on light rail.

Which will result in history repeating itself. Southwest Washington residents must be listened to and have a say in an I-5 bridge replacement, and it should not be ignored that they have voted against light rail when given the chance.

Light Rail can stay in Portland. But, I love the thought of a new bridge. I hate the thought that the I5-I405 interchange are not going to be widened, through those zones. Especially around the Moda Center. It will still cause backups. You'll just get across the bridge faster.
