The S.C NAACP also has a key leader on the SC parole board as a token. Black prisoners with any white opposition are the least likely to be granted parole. Blacks although the highest in prisoner ratios are still not so high in parole releases, especially for violent offenders
I get it... that is common ploy of big organizations that take the money but #Bernie2020 has to be at the table and play the game to win. So sad for the prisoners in SC. I was a prisoner once upon a time ago :-(
When there is prisoners suffering human torture and rampant human rights violations leading to preventable deaths, please don't feel sorry for us -- we ask that those emotions be used as a motivator to end it, and boldly call a spade a spade
