1/ I remember those days. 19 years ago today I spent my first night at Srate prison.The psychologist Abraham Mazlow said it best with his Hierarchy of Needs: The human necessity to meet the needs of food, sex, security, achievement, companionship, amongst others.
Plenty of people at this prison im at getting ready for the new year by checking on their moonshine and rolling out the smoke. 2/ No prisoner looks to be voluntarily committed, not any I know. And because of this they absolutely have a right to be treated humanely and with dignity. Celebrations of a year past, and a new one to come are a ways to keep grounded bin hope.
