The abolition of slavery was in the original DoI. Fredrick Douglas recognized that it was one of the most important documents ever written even if the white people who read it didn't interpret it to apply to all men. He did and fought for the correct reading of it.
We do not want to hear nothing about NO suppose original documents. That is so lame. Deal with what is.

It isn't supposed. Its historical fact. The words "all men are created equal" were meant to apply to all men even if some men didn't read it that way. Fredric Douglas read it that way and lamented that others did not.
