Marginalizing this population doesn’t have a positive outcome on their future &their likelihood of recidivism! Assuming we’re trying to reform their way of thinking, it’s vital that we teach them that they have a voice that counts &that they have responsibilities as citizens!

This is an absolute truth! They are still citizens of this country &their future is often substantially affected by the individuals we have in office &running our country.Since USA has such an enormous prison population they could also have an extraordinary effect on elections.
