i am completely on board with folks pushing for reinstating pell grants for prisoners, but i've seen virtually no accompanying conversation of what to do about rampant and virtually unfettered employment discrimination that even formerly incarcerated ppl with degrees face.
There has been tons of support and conversation on ex prisoners receiving educ grants and jobs, rather then the topic of actual prisoners receiving job training or grants. The later is not a popular subject #PrisonClass
