I am one of those unfortunate souls who has a lot of difficulty with non-traditional (to me) names. But I have come to appreciate and value them. Please spare a degree of patience for us!
In my experience, ppl with names Congresswoman Pressley is referring to ARE patient when I/others are set on learning correctly. Too patient. However, willful mispronunciation out of hate or laziness, or acting like it's phonetically an Olympian task - is justifiably infuriating.
