If you really want to fix SS, and at the same time help the middle class, reduce the amount workers pay into the system (to, say, 5%) and eliminate the cap altogether.

It's not an entitlement, but THEIR point is can people get it even If never put in. Min payment is I think 400$. Then they apply 4 fed senior housing. It takes 1/4 & they can get minimal SNAP & live. Gen. the people who haven't put in are dead beat Dad's. People who work 4 cash

I would love privatization, I've paid in both ends all my life. But as someone who has done taxes, I discouraged people from taking $ out of the 401ks but they don't listen they look at it as a saving acct. One that's taxed at %40 for early withdrawal but they don't care.
