you can also press F5 anywhere in notepad to insert a timestamp without the .LOG part

Sort of similar functionality in one note - use Alt+shift+F to insert current date and time.

To expand this: To enter the current date in
#Excel just press "Ctrl+;" and for current time you use "Ctrl+Shift+;"
