I've become more involved in this than is appropriate, given the degree of and distribution of harm. A lot of attention has focused on the victims of her deception; we must remember that the broader balance of harm was done to those she intentionally abused, parodied and erased.

She was challenged on her white supremacy and made herself an Indigenous imaginary friend. The harm she caused is not because of "mental illness," even if what she did was juvenile and bizarre.

Mental illness is blamed for everything (inc. mass shootings), but this is a red herring. Ppl can just do bad things and/or make bad decisions. Can MH impact behavior... absolutely, but personal accountability matters & shouldn't be tossed aside bc MH challenges were present.
