In the long term, if AI terms are not agreed upon, the erosion of the writing profession will lead to boring, soulless, and homogenized stories bc unique voices cost money. Better pay is important, but AI stipulations are even more important.

As human-written content becomes scarce, the richness and diversity of storytelling will suffer. AI-generated content, while technically proficient, will lack the nuance, emotion, and cultural context that human writers bring to their craft.

Hollywood execs know this. That's exactly why they won't budge on AI protections for writers. When AI becomes "good enough" to write scripts, countless writers will be left in the dust, their livelihoods jeopardized.

AI can't write scripts well at all. And I feel people will use that as proof that AI stipulations for writers aren't needed/AI alarmism is overblown, but it's not. It's underblown. ChatGPT has been around for...literally 6 months. It's getting really good, really quick.
