#JPD is investigating a death after a body was found inside a vehicle. Firefighters responded to a vehicle fire in a wooded area, in the 4900 block of South Dr. The discovery was made just after 12:30pm, when the fire was extinguished.

#JPD is investigating a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian that occurred on I-220 N near Industrial Dr. just before 4am. A male walking in the roadway was struck by a motorist and suffered fatal injuries. Driver was transported with minor injuries. No charges are pending.

#JPD is investigating a shooting that occurred on Bailey Ave. at Mayes St. just after 11:30am. A male suffered a wound to the back after being shot by a known male. Believed to have stemmed from a past dispute. Victim is listed in critical condition. Suspect fled.

Suspect fled in the female victim’s vehicle, leaving the vehicle he originally arrived in behind. The victims’ names have not yet been released.

UPDATE: A male and a female, both employees of the hospital are deceased. A domestic related assault occurred in the west parking lot. #JPD is investigating a shooting that occurred just after 6:30am outside the Baptist Hospital on N. State St. Initial reports are that two invidiuals have been wounded. Their conditions and circumstances are not yet known.

Victim appeared to have been there for several hours before being discovered. Cause of death is pending.

#JPD is conducting a death investigation after a male was found fatally shot inside a vehicle at a park on N. Mill St. at Fairbanks St. just before 6pm. Currently, it is undeterminable whether the injury was self-inflected or otherwise.

#JPD is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at an apt complex in the 3500 block of Sunset Dr. just before 5am. A male suffered multiple wounds following an altercation with another male over a female. Known suspect fled. No additional info available.

#JPD is investigating a shooting that occurred just before 11pm on MLK Jr. Dr. near Pocahontas Ave. A male suffered multiple wounds after he was approached by an unknown male, while walking in the area. His condition is stable. Suspect fled on foot. A motive is unknown.

#JPD is investigating a shooting after a male arrived at a hospital by private vehicle just after before 10pm. Victim suffered a wound to the leg after an unknown male shot in at a gas station in the 4500 block of Bullard St. Injury not considered life threatening.

#JPD is investigating a shooting after a male and female arrived at a hospital by private vehicle just after 6:30pm. Female suffered arm and leg wounds and is stable. Male suffered a back wound and is critical but stable. Occurred on West Highland Dr. near Lynch St. No suspects.
