The timing of the checkpoints seems suspect. Hummm
With citizens’ safety as a concern, checkpoints were conducted in the Maddox Rd. area after complaints of speeders and accidents. However, all checkpoints the city have been suspended till the end of the day so as not to prohibit any citizen from getting to the voting polls.

Not really a checkpoint when people see you; then turn off or turn around. Really a waste of $$$. Police fly up and down my road all the time- no lights on!! Oh, I live on West McDowell Road.

At no point was the constitutionality of those "checkpoints" a concern to you? Only DUI checkpoints are considered constitutional, per Michigan State Police v. Sitz. Anything else is a 4th amendment violation. So much for that oath.
