  2. I think about deleting my Twitter account often. This place is different than it once was. And I’m not sure why people are so unloving here. Maybe the lack of face to face interaction has made us forget that our words can build AND tear down even when typed. Idk. But I’m grieved.

  4. I really enjoy these kinds of pictures. Now, there are some Saints, that have tagged me in pics where it looks like yall were reading the book while eating Popeyes or sumthin un-annointed yet oily. So for those Saints, I appreciate your pics too, I just won’t ever post them. 😂🤷🏽‍♀️

  5. Yea, you know the gospel. You preach it with power. You handle the text wonderfully. But, when you step away from the pulpit and interact with the people, are you kind? Caring? Humble? Surely, the same Spirit that empowers you to preach can empower you to love.

Racism is sin and heresy because it 1) is a form of idolatry, 2) violates the Imago Dei, 3) denies the Communion of Saints, and 4) transgresses the 1st, 2nd, 5th, 6th, 8th, and 9th commandments, which are summarized in the two great commandments to love God and love neighbor.

“Dead things don’t disappear. Unless, the dead body is no longer that but alive as it had been before. But that would mean that something or someone greater than death was there to help.”

  13. My book has been out for almost two months now & this is the first time I’ve seen it in a store. I didn’t have butterflies. Only anxiety. Why? Because Preston kept talking about the book being MY BOOK loud enough for the store to hear it. He’s so supportive but he still irks.

  19. After Jesus told the rich young ruler to sell all that he has & follow him, the text says that when the man heard it, he walked away “very sad.” He was sad because Jesus was telling him to give up what mattered most to him. The gospel call hurts. But even in tears, obey anyway.
