She’s so busy being nice about other people’s stories, isn’t singing the praises of her own work in this issue. CLEAVER, MEAT, AND BLOCK is great: zombies(ish), cannibalism, and a long-simmering need for revenge. Make sure you read it! Available via

WOLF IN WHITE VAN by John Darnielle is a great read. Dark, weird, and actually quite sad, I think. As enigmatic as UNIVERSAL HARVESTER - the drip-feeding of information is pretty much perfect. Thoroughly recommended.

On the whole, I quite liked . Obviously very different to the novel, but it had some great moments, didn’t shy away from the horror, and never took itself *too* seriously - I think allowing that sense of fun to peek through now and again was its biggest strength.
