Frustrating that he still hasn’t finished TWOW. Did you read his comment that his publishers have urged him to split TWOW into two books?

Just wow. Honestly I’m glad I’m not emotionally invested in ASOIAF anymore. Love GRRM (catching up on Wild Cards right now), but the real books will never be completed. Fame and wealth have really changed him

All the fake history compendium books and ever-increasing TV shows he’s making just make me laugh now. He’s trying to run from his creation before it kills him - which is actually a short story he wrote once

ASOIAF is probably the best, most complete, most thorough, series and fantasy world ever created. Alas it seems like he has let world building, which I LOVE, become a substitute for finishing the story.

Exactly. I would much rather get the story up front and then spend time playing around in every corner of the world. He’s dreading the anticipation of an ending worthy of his new reputation
