So wait, we don’t want people identifying gender.......but then we get made when they are a girl. What if he “identified” as a girl, is that Ok? I’m so confused by the rules, one day we don’t have genders, the next day a 6 year old can change that?

Would’ve been awesome if the dentist turned that scenario around by telling both of them he self identifies as a velociraptor.

They should go to Bombay. There are thousands of people of colour, street dentists who work right on the side of the road. You don't even have to get out of your car. Some of them may even be girl dentists. https://youtu.be/B2NKIwL0m2k They need to go there.

It has nothing to do with sexism. Obviously the little girl would feel less frightened if the dentist were a woman. Do not push adult issues on to children.

You should probably tell that to her mother. What if she has a male teacher in school? Is she not going to attend because she’s not “comfortable?” What if she has a really bad illness but a male doctor? Hmm
