That's because North Korea doesn't need SRBMs to destroy Seoul, they'd use conventional artillery from the Kaesong Heights to turn the city into a ball of firehttps://twitter.com/ItzAHoax/status/1265443914636562432 …

In this same scenario kind of disregarding the Aegis BMD systems we have in place both afloat and ashore in those areas. Between the US and Japan, let alone ROK's ability to mobilize their forces in conjunction with our own against NK. But yes, missiles flying around is factual.

You know just like I do that these systems are already pre-targeted and would be knocked out before they get a second shot off. Same thing we did with Op Odyssey Dawn (I was on Barry) and the same thing we prepped to do in 2013 with Syria.

Actually not that easy. They would get a few shots each and then go to NK heaven. Where the NK can reach is a tiny piece of land. It would look like the moon very quickly. NK true terror weapon are nukes.

Something like 20,000 artillery pieces within range of Seoul. Could easily drop 100,000 shells in just a minute or two. Literally enough to level half the city in 10 minutes.

South Korea should take their defense seriously, perhaps not keep their capital within artillery range. I suspect South Korea is not serious about North Korea.

I know this is the conventional wisdom but there are some in the military who question the level of NK artillery. Some say it's old and probably in poor maintenance. None of NK soldiers are seasoned. How fast and hard these installations could be plays a very big factor.

I had read that SK nuclear facilities ARE susceptible to artillery or low grade MISSILES

SK can buy a few hundred Iron Domes from Israel. Wont stop everything, but very effective.
