If she was threatened, flight was the normal response. She choose confrontation, because she was able to pull race card. She rolled the dice, then lost. It happens.

Not while stationary 10 yards away from the person supposedly threatening them. She was so threatened that she actually walked up to him and he had to ask her to back away and not touch him. He must've been super scary...
