How the hell would they know this soon? It’s a longer term strategy. All locking down does Is prolong the inevitable.

You should follow @AlistairHaimes for European stats. Based on a comparison with Sweden, the lockdown in England has had no effect in the rate that the virus has subsided.

Come on Jack, you're better than that. You can't compare the entire USA with Sweden, nor can we say a strategy worked or not 3 months into the first wave.

The high death rate in Sweden is not obviously because we skipped lockdown. I would rather suggest it is because we did a very poor job protecting the elderly. If we had isolated all elderly care homes including the staff and observed strict hygiene on all deliveries>

You know how you can tell this is complete B.S.? They keep switching back and forth on the metrics they're using. First, it's death toll per million. Then it's death toll per million per day.

Then they talk about herd immunity at 70-90%, but there's obviously something else going on, because sweden pulled off the exponential path after only 1000 cases, and new cases has flattened at only 0.3% of the population infected. Obviously this doesn't follow standard -
