My brother was in an accident when he was 19, car flipped into a river. Landed hard on rocks, roof caved in to the seat where he had been sitting. If he had been wearing a seatbelt, he’d be dead. I think about that everytime I put my seatbelt on, every single time.

My mother had head on collision with another car. She had no injuries, had she not been wearing a seat belt, she would have been dead. It's a statistical fact that if you're not wearing a seatbelt, you're a LOT more likely to get injured or die.

I have heart disease and asthma. I usually wear a mask for allergies and asthma when I’m near allergens. Yesterday, I had to rip off my mask in town because of heat and humidity. I couldn’t breathe with it getting so humid now. Mask laws in Southern states would be a nightmare.

But if you get pulled over by a motorcycle cop & he writes you a seatbelt ticket doesn’t that seem kinda absent of logic?

That happened to me! But I was wearing my seatbelt. He still gave me a ticket because the part that was scratching my neck was tucked under my arm.

The reason is it’s a perfect example of law inforcement/prosecutorial overreach.we were told you would never be pulled over for it,that it would be an add on ticket.then that changed to being pulled over for it. Correlates to Rico, asset forfeiture, etc.

Now they use it as a excuse for just pulling you over to see if you are drinking or something else more illegal and will let you go with a warning. That seems to be the way they use it in my area. And as a reduced ticket instead of speeding as well. Same $fine though. Always $$$!
