In Poland we have (had?) old style politeness: opening the door, helping with coat, freeing a sitting place, carrying heavy things. Of course, just for a smile. Does it still exist?

I don’t think women are attracted to this. Some take advantage of it as a meal ticket. But the repulsion is still there.

The female version of this is not "rare" - I know too many women who did this to win the man they loved only to get trapped in extremely abusive marriages. Women have been traditionally taught that this kind of subservience is what the Bible glorifies (it isn't, at all)
