As long as China's wet markets are open, our borders should stay closed.

Wet markets are literally everywhere in Asia. Wouldn’t it be expected that these pandemics would come out of Asian countries more frequently? Wet markets were standard for 1000s of yrs up to ~150-200 yrs ago. If wet markets are such incubators, How did ppl survive this long?

Because when it happened back then, it didn't travel far and you didn't hear about it. People just died suddenly and they blamed goblins.
