Off-topic, but a "moral" issue in hospitals. A critical patient, is required to wait 24 hours for a Covid test result before Dr.s perform a life saving procedure. ( A claim to protect their own facility ). It seems a weak claim, if normal OR/ICU cleanliness rules are followed.
-
I know this is a policy in one major hospital. Many staff Dr.s are not on board with it, and many Dr.s will override it.. follow safe guidelines.. and help the patient as fast as possible. Someone in management has decided life/death can wait for a "test result" even w/no symptm.

I'm a nursing home nurse in Louisiana. If we take any new resident or readmit from the hospital without covid, or they go out of facility for any reason, we have to put them in isolation for 14 days. Dialysis residents, we use contact precautions with them.

Employees have to wear masks every day while at work also.
