I can't even sleep next to my bf without earplugs, I put music on anytime I eat with someone... I hate this, but it's just brutal. Like physical response, sweating, getting angry at the noises, etc.

I have aspergers so our brains are overwired & we get get overstimulated by noises. Going into a noisy restaurant will drive people with higher spectrum autism to get overwhelmed, that is why they usually wear headphones to block the stimulis I totally understand Misophoniapic.twitter.com/2cNJMZBGC5

I have to sleep with a window fan on and sometimes even with relaxing music if there is too much noise it helps a lot. This is one my favourite sleep aid music I use a lot, it helps keep me asleep toohttps://youtu.be/nkkJgdiR8IA

I quit going to the movies. I couldn’t deal with people smacking or eating popcorn. I also am triggered by ice and gum chewers. The sound of chewing, especially crunching, pushes me to the end of my constraint.

Jack, a family member was chewing so loud tonight and smacking lips. I would have never thought I would have something like Misophonia but when ppl make noises when they chew or eat it’s all I can do to keep my sanity. Crazy.

Maybe related to schizophrenia?

The test groups tend to come from that subset bc they are the most likely to seek psychiatric treatment, for obvious reasons, and their brains are studied intently. It isn’t a causation and not even a correlation.
