        Fine as long as everyone realizes that rail is the highest tax subsidy per passenger. Passenger rail could never survive on its own without massive perpetual taxpayer costs. It would be cheaper over the long term to give everyone a car.

        Wishful thinking... check out the Texas bullet train mess. Using same Japanese contractor as Cali and most definitely will go over budget... not to mention residents don’t want it.

        It's absolutely needed in this country. It would save us billions of dollars annually. Trains are remarkably efficient and don't require nearly as many people to operate and maintain as planes and airports. Particularly useful for freight.

        Trains are efficient at moving cargo not people. But with self driving trucks on the horizon roads will be far more efficient.

        Hyperloop between cities and @boringcompany Loop within cities. Could start with mid sized cities like Austin, Louisville, Charlotte, Pittsburgh, etc. They’re already building in Vegas.
