There may be a 2nd wave & Sweden will have better herd immunity than other countries. People need to know that flattening the curve does NOT reduce the ultimate number of infections/deaths. It PROLONGS the pandemic. They overestimated the virus & were worried about hospitals.

21 deaths per 100,000 and 7 deaths per 100,000 is clinically insignificant, but causing a God damned depression; the deaths from suicide, starvation, and crime will not be clinically insignificant. Herd immunity is needed. Quarantine the sick, that's it. everybody else live life.

Factor in population size and the difference in deaths doesn’t seem as significant.

How do you know this? My understanding is we don’t even know if getting infected gives you any immunity, or for how long. It might last only weeks or months. It might not even happen No one knows. Plus I’ve heard experts say we need 70% of population infected for herd immunity.

Um, not really. Sweden had no other choice but this due to an already overwhelmed system pre-covid due to the system crash post 2015 rise in crime due to flood of migrants not willing to integrate. Rest of Nordic countries use Sweden as warning example!
