Because they weren't allowed to do what needed to be done to help ppl. Only things they were allowed to do didn't work, made things worse or when someone coded they weren't allowed to do any compressions in fear of spreading the virus. So if someone coded they let them die.

I find it strange that a young EMT and Dictir both commit suicide in the same week. These are people that have seen trauma and death on a daily basis. Something isn't adding up to me.
