    When I was in China in 2008, a Communist Party Official spoke with us about the concept of “China crossing the river” in 2020. Are you familiar with that idea, @JackPosobiec? At the time, my main thought was that we should be very concerned, as they clearly had a plan.

        Was aware of the quote many years ago. From Heraclitus an early Greek philosopher. As important in the current context was Deng Xiaoping “It doesn’t matter if a cat is black or white, so long as it catches mice”- Deng Xiaoping.I certainly took note of that quote at the time.

        It was an analogy they were using to describe their government’s plans to move the country forward into a position of power (based on my memory only — @JackPosobiec could probably explain better). They also had some very interesting currency manipulations planned.
