        Yup. China literally sees itself as the Middle Kingdom - 中国 - and the literal Chinese characters reflect that belief. Ironically, America is 美国 which literally means "beautiful country", but that's a designation the Chinese came up with long before the CCP was around.

        Plagued are not new. Man has suffered them throughout history. Vaccines and antivirals and antibiotics are new. We don’t have o e that works for this plague yet. Hence we are reduced to quarantines and other imperfect measures. People want to think it’s a hoax or hyped. NOT
