I believe that John McCain did more bad than good. I also believe some of his political choices were bad, including the one about the Dossier, but that’s not the point. I wouldn’t call it “emotional distress,” more great disappointment. A lot of John McCain’s late decisions annoyed me, too, but I really don’t see the value of continuing to bring him up now. It only hurts our standing with independents and gives people something to be angry about

Was my original Tweet maybe too combative? Sure, but we as conservatives (or simply people) don’t need to attack a recently dead man who was generally well respected so much. I don’t think it’s necessary, and he has living family members who do indeed get hurt by this stuff.
