No. I want to be able to see what I’m charged. We need consolidated billing, we need to know what we’re being charged before we agree to the service, with hospitals settling with labs and doctors. Everything else has a price tag up front.

Really not a good idea since the patient gets to approve the procedure, while insurance is on the hook to pay for it. What is needed is an understanding of expected costs, within parameters, before the patient says, “okay.” Some Dr. offices excel at this and others fail dismally
