This is key because ventilator use itself has many risks and patients must be monitored closely, according to pulmonologistshttps://twitter.com/Cernovich/status/1247280473447051265 …

Are we allowed to ask how much recent training doctors have been given on ventilating patients?

Perhaps that is why the survival rate is only 40% once you are placed on it. Lack of experience by the people intubating the patients that is.

If you have an MD by your name, you’ve been trained in vents! 👌🏽COVID is a complex syndrome and info is traveling. Hospital professionals have high state licensing requirements to begin with, so best practices will be discussed and information will be circulated no doubt! 👊🏼🙏🏽

Please read this thread, its about the BLOOD being attacked first, lungs are secondary, they should focus more on the blood and oxygen levelshttps://twitter.com/yishan/status/1245066858597761024 …

        BeziJankec added,

        Yishan @yishan
Virus is disrupting the hemoglobin’s oxygen capacity. It is attacking our BLOOD first, not the lungs. It is NOT a respiratory ailment (primarily), lung breakdown symptoms are a consequence of the attack on blood hemoglobins. Hypoxia is happening BEFORE lungs are affected. https://twitter.com/burrliner/status/1245026602771251201 …

Desperate times call for desperate measures Any practicing physician who went through a traditional rotating internship had training in ventilator use They are almost all smart enough to get back up to speed It's not easy, but not as hard as you might imagine

They are all smart enough??? Don't get me wrong, it takes a lot of smarts to make it through medical school, but not all doctors are the geniuses most people believe they are. They can be wrong and get things wrong. They are human
