The facts are the SecNav publicly announced the coronavirus outbreak on the carrier days before any letter came out He’s allowed to rule as he sees fit, but he should stick to the factshttps://twitter.com/Ryan_Beeson/status/1247187027763892224 …

Interested to know whether you disagree with the Sec of the Navy in his assessment? Not talking about whether could have been handled better by navy, but whether he is right about the risk this way of “raising alarm” by CO put his ship and his crew in.

The captain of that ship should be in the brig. He put his sailors lives at risk and did not follow the chain of command. He should be dishonorably discharged after his time in the brig.

Port Call in Vietnam, allowed personnel to leave ship. Then the virus was discovered. He never should have allowed a shore call. My bet, this contributed to the decision to relieve him, rightfully.

The admiral's cabin was 2 doors down from the commander. Report shows he didn't present his concerns to anyone above him. He went rogue. If his XO or crew did what he did, would he relieved them from duty? He'll ya he would. Don't be so cavalier.

Facts also include that after his first notification through channels he decided he didn't receive a fast enough response and sent an unsecured email with letter attached containing classified information. He was wrong to do so. He should have engaged the admiral, and gone on.
