Honestly when I heard him plea like he did out in the open I was like is this the look we want from the captain of one of our most powerful tools of war? Get on that phone and scream up the chain, writing a letter was stupid.

Crozier wrote the letter to the press, not those in his chain of command. Imagine what the families of those stationed on that ship are going through because he could not have enough discipline to allow the ship to dock before blasting out bad news like that.

Seriously Jack, what is wrong with you today? The captain exposed his command.

Sorry Jack, the Navy is right on this one. There are grounds for court Martial, the Navy is being generous just relieving him. This is the military, things are different. One has to respect the chain of command & the discipline therein. I agree with you most of the time, not now.

OPSEC is serious, breaching OPSEC will kill more people than the virus. Crozier set a bad example for all military personnel.

That was specifically mentioned by my instructors in tech school during the botched hostage rescue operation by Carter admin.

Because he wrote the letter to the media instead of going up his chain of command?
-
Well I guess we need to see documentation of what actions he took PRIOR to doing this.
