I'm almost afraid to ask this question, but here goes... In a world obsessed with viral content, and every person on the planet carrying around a mobile production lab... Why haven't I seen videos of packed Emergency Rooms where patients are dying while waiting for a bed? https://twitter.com/nytimes/status/1242930783863611398 …

I know people who have died from almost every named problem except seasonal flu. Why? Probably recorded as pneumonia?

HIPPA in the waiting room of the ER? They’re not admitted yet.

And doesn’t that explanation imply that only healthcare professionals would be the only people able to record something? If I was in a crowded ER with people dying while waiting, I’d whip out my phone.

Baloney. You think people care about that when there are Instagram likes to be had? People film EVERYWHERE. There's something wrong here. I've had my phone in the hospital. No one ever told me to put it away. I could have been filming

Missing the point, Jack. HIPPA laws protecting patient privacy do nothing to prevent social media zealots from sharing their own front-line experiences in overcrowded hospital waiting rooms. The thing is, there are no crowded waiting rooms. No tsunami of sick patients exists.
