Generations are going to become smaller because of the exponential change of technology. Kids born in the late 80's are not the same as kids born in 1998, they had entirely different experiences growing up and can hardly be considered the same generation.

This is a great point... I think generations are loosely defined by what music you listened to between 15-25 but even that timeframe has accelerated with technology...

Generations should be limited to no more than 8-10 years on length... People born in 1968 don’t have much in common with people born in 1980 but yet they are both considered Gen X...
