Doing math in these respects is more than looking at numbers from a point in time... need to consider acceleration. If I am traveling at 90mph and you are going at 10 with enough of a head start it may at first appear your in the lead... just chart it out 6 months
There should be a licensing system for journalists same as for doctors, lawyers, pilots etc because bad journalism puts real lives at risk. Malpractice should lead to a license suspension or loss. Only then will journalists be more responsible.
We need a class action lawsuit for malpractice of journalism.
Big thought: Coronavirus, if it's contained hard enough, could actually have the effect of decreasing virus deaths in America this year, simply because the panic over coronavirus could likely reduce other viral transmissions as well, reducing flu and other such deadly diseases.
Good thing with all this social distancing we will also be helping to avoid the flu!
Aka the CDC & WHO the "Seasonal" Influenza kills anywhere from 290,000 to 650,000 people WORLDWIDE out of 3,000,000 to 5,000,000 people who get the flu. That is a 10% (±4) mortality rate YEAR AFTER YEAR for the COMMON FLU!! THIS IS MUCH WORSE THAN CORONAVIRUS! .pic.twitter.com/wFBHWADsIk
You failed reading comprehension.... "Seasonal Influenza Related Respiratory Illness" is NOT deatsh directly do to flu, it a class of deaths that covers a number of causes. Actual FLU deaths is 8% to 10% of that https://web.archive.org/web/20200227192224/https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/mm5933a1.htm …pic.twitter.com/4d9Vq8iofv
