How far back do you think covid goes? I think it’s been around for a minute and that if we start testing we’re going to find cases all over the place. Not sure what to think anymore.

Earliest known case was mid November. China learned about it mid December. US offered assistance early January but was rejected by China. Feb 3rd US cut off some of China. How many came into the country between now and then? How many came from other countries until yesterday?

A woman we know from church who works in a nursing home said today that they had a patient who was very ill with flu-like symptoms but tests weren't showing any known flu. They have now been tested and it was Wuhan. The patient was sick in late October! From Missouri.

The CDC watches the disease numbers closely all flu season long. There was nothing unusual in the Nov/Dec data. "An updated graph from the CDC... shows the number of reported flu cases growing at a similar rate to the deadly 2017-2018 season."
