Do we know what the reason is? Instead of just blaming could we try to understand why? Is it purely the lack of resources? How unprepared we are as a country?

if you take the time to go back and listen to the congressional testimony from Dr. Fauci and Dr. Redfield they say basically any HCP can ask for anyone to be tested but they also said the system is not set up for universal testing.

Self quarantine and self care is apparently our best option. It's sad that I'd fear the hospital more than my own home for care in this situation.

Alabama is similar. If you aren't in a high risk category (older, etc), you don't get tested.

If you’ve seen the people who had fever, chills, cold symptoms in TV interviews and tested POSITIVE, they said they were not treated just monitored. They were drinking a ton & sleeping. People w/ breathing issues referred to hospitals & everyone else put in home quarantine.
