This is not accurate. In India, you drive in the middle of the road until someone comes from the opp. direction. At that time, you both have to stop. There will be a head to head stand off, next a head nod and finally you can each go left.

I grew up in Europe and the US. However I have been driving in the left a lot in AU/SA - after the initial adjustment I always felt it was the Natural way of driving (despite little time I ever spent driving on the left). Odd isn’t it?
