I’m not sure if it’s accuracy but a fact sheet from UNICEF stated the coronavirus is unstable on surfaces at temps above 27 C (80 F). Sounds like that’s the key. We’ve got maybe a month left in the Southern US before daily temps are above 80.

I’m sure Africa’s dazzling healthcare infrastructure is aggressively testing, treating and preventing cases so that spread is limited.

Maybe it’s the fact that most of the countries there can’t afford pencil and paper to keep track of it or they just don’t care to track and report it.
