My first card, and the only one I could qualify for at the time, was an Am Ex. It required payment in full every month. I only used it for phone purchases pre-internet for things like travel and concert tickets. I got used to paying in full and I've never carried a card balance.

I don't usually pay in cash, but when I do I use the currency of the New Realm.pic.twitter.com/Jr8760Q2tG

I’m not using my debit card for online transactions.

Do you use debit for online purchases? I’ve always worried about the security of it thus I opt for cc online
-
Yes, set up a sub or contra account with your bank. Keep a balance of $0.01 in it and when you want to purchase online transfer exact amount of purchase. DO NOT allow overdraft of any kind on this account. You cannot be charged if you do not put money in account and no fees.

Now do car loans.

Car loans? Never. Save until you can pay cash! Besides, if it floats, flies or drives....lease!
