It is in gambling the house always wins. The same applies here because the house is gambling that at some point you will not be able to payoff the balance monthly. House wins

In 35 yrs of marriage we've used our credit card for everything, save 75 cts on every gallon of gas + $1,000's on groceries (rewards) and pay off our card every month. We've never not paid it off. It's doable. But we've always tithed at least 10% every month too, no matter what.

I get 1% cash back and pay zero interest because I pay back before the end of month. 1% free cash back is winning to me. I literally use it as a debit card, put on purchase, then pay off immediately afterwords. Boosts my credit score as well.

Many cards (like our Fidelity Rewards card) give 2% cash back on everything (and our Bank of America gives 3% back on gas purchases). We use our cards for absolutely everything, including utilities, pay no fees and get a cash back reward every month.

I’m 61 and have used credit cards since I was a teen. I’ve never paid a dime in interest. I collect cash back each month on my purchases. My credit score is over 830. I’m just a high school graduate.

Banks win from people who cough up the 18% interest for not paying their balance every month. I'm winning because I get 2% rebate each month. Paying in cash doesn't do that for me. I've earned over $15K in rebates over the years. No brainer. No downside if you pay bal each mo.

Do you use credit cards? If not, how do you transact financially?
