After your recommendation, I watched Midsommar last weekend with my daughter (24) and her friend. We were yelling at it and pulling our knees up to our chests and just getting REKT. It was awfully good.

It wasn’t “a joke(r)” this year. Parasite was an amazing movie. It was original, unpredictable, stylish, funny— and tragic. It deserved every award it won.

I liked Parasite a lot. Great film, I have nothing against it and consider myself a fan. Dealt with many of the same issues as Joker, and Fight Club years before. They definitely telegraphed the dad snapping tho

I guess my question is why do any of you watch it?; The only individuals that I really like are probably Ricky Gervais and Piers Morgan. The military I think are the true heroes of North America but how often are they embraced?

In my honest opinion the red carpet should be laid out for those people instead of actors.

Let me guess, the movie no one watched but was the most “woke” won?

I'd get the complaints any other year, but korean cinema has long ago surpassed hollywood in both blockbusters and more serious/artistic films, and that director is one of the main responsibles.
