I’ve always wondered why more people don’t sue news networks. Putting aside opinion pieces, we often see networks report absolute falsehoods as truth. How does that go unchallenged for so long?

The phrase; "A man who defends himself has a fool for a client" is not always true. It's one of the most under appreciated arts & laymans are too intimidated by it. I highly recommend people atleast read Federal Rules of Civil Procedures.

Majority of lawyers borrow their material from Case Law that has been set by others before them. Judges are scared to make decisions which makes new case laws, because they do not want higher courts overturning their decisions on their record. So rule on old cases decisions
